The Happy Fruit Adventures - Book review

In The Happy Fruit Adventures, two nineteen - year- old boys, Abider (Abi) and Deviator (Devio), set out into a symbolic realm called the "Jungle of Life" to seek the mysterious "Fruit of True Happiness" which grows on a tree ,top of the "Mount Goal".  Before beginning their journey, they meet Master Experience who advises them to take the straight path. But the two young men take different routes. Abi follows the advised path, while Devio chooses temptation and distraction. Along the way, they meet characters like Giant Struggle , Giant sacrifice , Lady Distraction, Lady Pleasure , Commander Courage etc. Their journey serves as a metaphor for the choices we make in life like perseverance vs avoidance, rightful company vs poor influence, courage vs fear. Every Day, A New Story at VIT Chennai

Image
When I first joined VIT Chennai, I was nervous to the core. After finishing school, the idea of staying away from home, meeting strangers, handling academics, and living independently felt like a huge mountain to climb. I kept asking myself , will I adjust? Will I make friends? Or will I just end up feeling homesick every day? Once I stepped onto the campus, things felt different. The open spaces, greenery, and lively students made me feel at ease, and my nervousness slowly faded. Making friends turned out to be easier than I thought.  At first, it started with small gestures—a smile in the hostel corridor, a “hi” in the cafeteria, or asking someone to join a group for a project. Those small interactions quickly grew into conversations that lasted hours. We shared stories about our hometowns, school life, and our expectations from college. From late-night chats in the hostel to helping each other with assignments, these connections made me feel supported and comfortable. Before I k...

Where culture speaks : A day at Dhakshinachitra

Image
Who knew an industrial visit to a historic museum could feel this exciting? At Dhakshinachitra we could see art, culture, and history come alive. We reached Dakshinachitra around 10 a.m., excited for the day ahead. After making our way through the slightly crowded ticket counter, the very first thing that caught our eye was a vibrant bazaar. Stalls were filled with colorful artworks, handcrafted items, and ethnic products that gave us a glimpse of South India’s rich culture. As we walked further, we saw many traditional houses from different regions waiting to be explored. At first we saw authentic Chettinad House of Tamil Nadu. Inside, we found displays about the five types of landforms described in Tamil culture. One of the most interesting parts was a room with a huge antique mirror. Of course, we couldn’t resist taking selfies there. Next we stepped into Ambur House. The atmosphere here was calm, quiet, and filled with a sense of devotion. Every corner of the house reflected spirit...

A portfolio is a personal collection of your work, skills, and experiences that highlights your journey and achievements. For students, a portfolio is like a roadmap of growth. It reflects the journey of learning and improvement. I’m a student passionate about coding, problem-solving, and creative projects. Currently, I’m exploring opportunities to strengthen my technical skills while also enjoying my love for classical dance, which adds balance and creativity to my life. Through this portfolio blog, I aim to share my journey, showcase my projects, and reflect on the lessons I learn along the way. Along with technical knowledge, I’ve realized that soft skills are what truly sh...
